Our Roads Family Institute, Inc., first got its start as Our Roads Ministries in 2004, but being identified as a Ministry put constraints and definite limitations on the organization. Minnie Hayes Patmon-McLaurin founded and established Our Roads Family Institute, Inc., in 2005 with her husband Scottie D. McLaurin. Our Roads was born out of Minnie and Scottie’s compassion for hurting people. After starting a search for the specific purpose for her life, Minnie discovered there were many questions about life that were still not answered to her satisfaction after 50 years. In other words things just did not add up. That is when she discovered that she was the person responsible for finding the correct answers and making sense out of life. She also found there were many people, Christians and non-Christians that had those same questions and needed answers. The questions: What is my purpose in life? Why was I born? And why am I here? Our Roads Family Institute, Inc., was formed out of Minnie’s compassion for people and her desire to help others discover their specific path or Road in life and to successfully navigate it.
